Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ifso (“ifso,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the ifso financial scenario planner (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Who we are
ifso is a financial scenario planning tool that lets you model net worth, income, and long-term financial projections. The Service is operated by Mahdi Software Engineering LLC, a Texas limited liability company. “ifso” is a product of Mahdi Software Engineering LLC.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the Service:
- Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile image from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Financial planning inputs. The figures and scenarios you enter — such as income, assets, expenses, ages, and assumptions — so we can generate and save your plans.
- Usage and technical data. Basic, privacy-friendly analytics (e.g., page views and performance) to understand how the Service is used and to keep it reliable.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card details on our servers.
How we use your information
- To provide the Service — saving your scenarios and rendering your projections.
- To sync your plans across your devices when you are signed in.
- To authenticate you and secure your account.
- To process subscriptions and billing, if you choose a paid plan.
- To maintain, debug, and improve the Service.
- To communicate with you about your account or important changes to the Service.
How your data is stored
Using ifso requires an account. The financial scenarios you create are stored in our database, hosted by our infrastructure provider, and tied to your account so we can render your projections and keep your plans available across your devices.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed to provide it:
- Google, for sign-in (authentication).
- Our database and hosting providers, to store and serve your data.
- Stripe, to process payments if you subscribe.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
Data retention
We keep your account and scenario data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your associated data from our active systems, as described below. Residual copies may persist in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
Your rights and choices
You are in control of your data. Within the Service (or by contacting us) you can:
- Export your scenarios as a JSON file at any time.
- Delete your account, which removes your scenarios, settings, and authentication records from our active systems.
- Access or correct your information by editing it in the app or contacting us.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights over your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@ifso.io.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
ifso is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be communicated through the Service.
